There is a 16 gauge Parker at the local gunshop. I looked at it closely today and it appears to have little use considering it's age. The gun has damascus bbls. that are 28" long. The wood looks good and the checkering has little wear. The serial number is, 83225. I think the gun was made in 1895. The flats had the number 2. It looks like a GH grade to me. It is an extractor gun and is tight on face. Screws are excellent. They are asking $1299. I may offer $1000. What is the approximate value?
Thanks!

Big Kev,
We knew the Fox wouldn't be the last one. You knew the Fox wouldn't be the last one. Ms. Springman, however...

Sounds like a good to great deal based on the condition.

16ga on a #2 frame? Not sure how common that is. Most 16's are #1 frames, I think--pending comments from Parker experts.

Kevin, would you be looking at a restock job on that gun? It's got to be way short and probably too much drop for you.

The #2 on the flats is for the grade.
It's a grade 2 "G" Damascus 28" barrels.
The frame size is stamped on the rear barrel lug.
More than likely either a 1 or 0.
