Well, if I had the money, theres no doubt who I would use....Paul Hodgins hands down. Unless the gun truly is a best gun....the cost of PH doing the work is probably going to be a bit prohibitive. He is one of the finest stockers in the world IMHO.
There are many other very good, quality stockers out there as well.
Dennis E. Smith is very good. I have personal experience with him and his work is fantastic, hes a good man as well.
Del Whitman is extremely talented and can do fine stock work...and about anything else double gun related as well. I have personal experience with Del as well, hes worked on a few of my projects.
Gunter Pfrommer can do it all as well. A Ferlach trained gunmaker...another great guy and very talented.
Dan Morgan. Ive seen his stock work mostly on Dickson RAs, hes very good as well and has a great background with English guns.
JJ Perodeau is a Liege trained gunmaker and is another gunmaker that is extremely talented and can do it all. Hes pretty timely in my experience as well.
