I bought one of these actions a dozen years ago and have finally begun a rifle on it. It was new but didn�t have an extractor. It took two months but Dakota (Remington Custom Shop) sold me an extractor but I just don�t see how the part they sent could possibly work. Anyone out there have one of these or worked on one of these? I�d like to see what the extractor cut in the breachface looks like as well as what the extractor looks like, and if there�s a spring involved with it. Anyone here familiar with this action?

I am but have no pics. as I remember it is a virtual copy of the Hagn system lifting vertically in the center/middle of the bottom of the barrel breech. It should have a two-ended wire spring for retraction and pivot on a simple pin. This system works equally well with both rimmed and rimless cartridges.
I'd need to have it on the bench to figure out.

Thanks, Steve. I�ve got it figured out. I was hesitant because I�ve never seen one of these before and it�s not so easy to get these parts. James Anderson, who apparently worked at Dakota, told me how to make the cut. I then had to trim the extractor in order to get the timing right, but now it�s ready for stocking.
