I bought one of these actions a dozen years ago and have finally begun a rifle on it. It was new but didnt have an extractor. It took two months but Dakota (Remington Custom Shop) sold me an extractor but I just dont see how the part they sent could possibly work. Anyone out there have one of these or worked on one of these? Id like to see what the extractor cut in the breachface looks like as well as what the extractor looks like, and if theres a spring involved with it. Anyone here familiar with this action?

I am but have no pics. as I remember it is a virtual copy of the Hagn system lifting vertically in the center/middle of the bottom of the barrel breech. It should have a two-ended wire spring for retraction and pivot on a simple pin. This system works equally well with both rimmed and rimless cartridges.
I'd need to have it on the bench to figure out.

Thanks, Steve. Ive got it figured out. I was hesitant because Ive never seen one of these before and its not so easy to get these parts. James Anderson, who apparently worked at Dakota, told me how to make the cut. I then had to trim the extractor in order to get the timing right, but now its ready for stocking.
