Had a patient in a few days ago who was asking me if I knew where any good 16 gauge double guns were for sale. Said hes been going to gun shows for a couple years looking for one and just cant find anything but junk. So when he came back this morning, after he was done, I had my assistant bring in a soft gun case that had a nice looking 16 LeFever Special. His eyes went wide. Fumbled and shook a little holding it. Then asked how much I wanted for it. Now a Lefever Special is not a high dollar gun but does make a fine shooter. Told him it was a gift to him. Then asked him to leave it to one of his grandkids when he was done using it. Will do he says.
I dont get many hugs from men but he gave one to both my assistant and me. Hers was a much more enjoyable hug Im sure. Shes young and cuter. Funny thing was after he left she jokingly asked when she gets a double. Never had much more fun giving away a gun to a patient before. Might have to sit aside a double for her.
