Doug's a good guy. Shot with him in Scotland years ago. Some here may remember, going back at least 20 years, that he and a partner ran British Game Guns. Imported and sold Brit doubles.

Douglas Tate, like several other gun writers, used to read this board. He posted under the pseudo "Douglas Tate" (see member list). We exchanged some interesting info on Reilly early last year and on the Reilly line I posted pictures of the 1994 DGJ journal article on a gold washed Reilly that he wrote, one of the first of the articles and book mentions of Reilly from the late 20th century. You might try sending him a PM. Unfortunately I believe that he, like several other well known and connected posters who know a lot about double guns, seemed to have scaled back on reading this forum.
