Well, I was one of those early December orders (12/04/2005 PIF) that went to the shop recently. I got my call from Carol this morning and was told that the gun would be shipped later this week.

Getting there at a good time before the season. If you're a believer in cyclical return, it's early! Enjoy it.

It must be that kind of day. I got "the call from Carol" this afternoon. I have a NOVEMBER,2005 order that has been in the shop for over 3 months.
I've been very upset seeing everyone else get their PIF orders ahead of mine.
Now, let's hope that I won't be disappointed after a very long wait. I ordered BF,SG,ST,14.75"LP and exhibition American Black Walnut.
The upside (we hope) is that all the glitches have been worked out and that these guns are better than the earlier deliveries.
Good luck, Woodcocker. I hope your wait will be rewarded.

Bob,
I have another gun to take to Hornepayne with us this year, It looks as though "the beater" may have some competition, although I doubt that I will shoot this as well or as often.

I'll let you know when it arrives.

Tom,
Here are some photos of 908, that I picked up last Friday. PIF 11-22-05. The wood is Exhibition Black Walnut and is darker than the photos show. Good Luck with yours. This seems to be a nice, well balanced gun.

Gordon,

Wow! Your gun is great. I can only hope for wood that is comparable. My options are slightly different. I chose a single trigger (I have two ICD 20ga. with DT's), semi-beavertail and silver receiver.
My original order was for standard wood, but, as time went by, I didn't want to miss the boat by not having great wood.
You have great wood that is worth every penny...congratulations. It's interesting to see a serial number over 900. I guess production is finally on the increase.

Gordon, that is a beauty! I wonder what percent of the guns are straight grip. I bet around 80% when the last one is made. Bobby

Thanks, Guys. Bobby, I bet you are right. I was going back and forth between the straight and the PG. I think the Grip cap makes the PG stock great. I almost changed my mind but decided to leave it alone. As I recall, didn't you sell yours some time ago? Until I received the gun, I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it, but it really feels good. I hope I shoot it OK.

Thanks for sharing the photos. Excellent wood! I, too, hope for something of that quality when I get my gun in a few days. Production does seem to have picked up at CSMC because I saw reference to RBL # 1084 on another bulletin board. An 18 month wait plus infinite patience may pay off very nicely based on your photos.
