Hi all,
Wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm brand new to SXS shotguns, but I absolutely think they're gorgeous shotguns. I've been shooting for over 20 years, and just a month ago I shot my first SXS.
I am especially fond of sidelock hammer guns. For my first SXS hammer guns, I wanted something that I could shoot regularly with standard factory Win AA loads and not worry about excessive PSI in older barrels. I met a gunmaker in Ione, CA who used to work for Purdey. I originally met him because I needed to get my sporting clays shotgun fitted to me. His name is
Dale Tate for anyone interested.
I have two hammer guns from Dale Tate: a 12ga pigeon gun and a 20ga game gun.
Does anyone know more about Dale Tate and his hammer guns? Would love to learn more about them and see what others' opinions are about them.

I'm going to attend the California Sporting Clays Championship June 14th - 17th if anyone else is planning on attending.
Here are some pictures of the 12ga pigeon gun. It's number 009 out of 050.
