I had some difficulty reloading 12 gauge Remington Gun Club shells using CCI209 primers. The primers would not sit deeply enough and so prevented smooth rotation of the (MEC) press rotating stage. Switching to Federal 209A primers (using another approved recipe) solved the problem. I vaguely recall talking to a vendor some time ago in which he claimed that not all "209" primers have the same diameters. Is there a list of major primer sizes that would show these differences?

I do no see few thousandths of an inch preventing the primes from seating to full depth. I once knew a re-loader who used 209 primers in the old Remington hulls which used smaller primers & didn't even realize they weren't the proper size. Could be a difference in the size or thickness of the flange.

Lower the seating ram on the priming station to fix the issue.

Very good information. I bought 5000 Remington primers and reloaded a few hundred 12ga shells in Kent and WinAA hulls. I had two no fires using a Belgium external hammer gun. First ever no fires hand loading my own. Now I see they have one of the shortest length of the primers listed and were set to deep.

Lower the seating ram on the priming station to fix the issue. Really! +1 machines are adjustable for a reason. They usually have a manual of instructions to guide that process.
