Probably most of you won't know Paul unless your from Michigan area or knew John Hosford (Hosford wall thickness gauges) as they traveled together to many of the shoots, but the man had a great love for all double guns. I just learned of his passing today as it was post on the Fox site. Rest in peace my friend. Erichttp://forum.foxcollectors.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8211A

Sad news! Kind, always willing to share information and great time shooting double rifles with him. Knew Paul from the Channing and Medford shoots. I was looking forward to spending time with him shooting double rifles at Medford in June. He will be missed. | | |

I didn't personally know the gentleman, but it is always sad to hear of another doublegun aficionado's passing, a bit more knowledge and companionship lost to those who treasured it.
God speed to him for his interest & passion.

That's sad. I knew Paul - a kind and colorful guy.

Paul was a great guy and a skilled and innovative machinist too. I sure will miss seeing him in Medford in June.

Paul was a great friend and we shot together often. Two stories show his character and that he could laugh at himself. Years ago we were in the same squad shooting sporting and he was hitting everything with a very nice L C Smith 20 ga with the flying pheasants, sorry I can't remember all the grades. I saw him a few weeks later and he was shooting something else. I asked where was the LC, he replied I shot it too good I had to trade it. Another time were hunting pheasants out west and after a long day he was jumping in the shower and one of the guys asked if he was going to take off his sweater first, since he was covered like some of us with gray hair , he replied in deadpan voice yea like I haven't heard that before. Maybe you had to be there but it brings a smile to my face to remember it. A tear to my eye also
This ain't a dress rehearsal , Don't Let the Old Man IN
