Pls describe or somehow photograph the proof marks.
Montana, I will try to get a better photo of the proof marks. The lighting and my flash were playing havoc with me trying to get a good clear picture of them and I couldn't get one when I took the pictures I posted.
I will attempt to describe the proof marks though. OK, on the action flats/water table you have only 1 mark, a capital V with a crown over it. On the barrel flats you have 5 different marks: 1. the V with a crown over it, 2. the London 2nd proof mark, the crown over CP or Op, 3. a single number 12 which apparently represents the gauge, but it's not inside a diamond like I have seen it previously, 4. a very old and deep mark that looks like the London 1st proof mark with the crown on one side and a slash in the middle, but it is very hard to tell, and last 5. the right barrel has a TP(?) or IP(?) mark but the left barrel has a single P mark, which I have never seen before (could this be a smokeless proof or?).
Finally, to your question about the radiused action, I am not exactly sure what you mean by that, but the top and sides of the breech face have large scallops that even it with the barrel as it meets the breech there. The picture makes it look much deeper than it really is due to the reflection of the flash.
Pics to follow tomorrow in natural light.
