As so often happens on this forum, the original post deteriorated~~~I almost hate to bring this up but...

Ralph Stuart and Ed Carroll from SSM both came to talk at the Dallas Safari Club show. It was really quite gracious of them and we cleared the air. They had, of course seen the DGS thread. Both sides speaking candidly was very good for all of us. I got to talk about some issues in a non-threatening way and I can now put that whole 22 year experience in the pleasant memories bank to visit happily in the future.

I am glad you made your original Post about what happened to you with SSM.

I have enjoyed your writings in SSM.

While I do subscribe to SSM it has IMO gone steadily down hill the last few years in regard to content vs. Ads.

It has been my experience that I always feel better when a tense situation has been resolved in a gentlemanly manner and those involved can resume "normal lives" without that little dark cloud hanging around. I can tell from your post that you are, too. I'm glad that it is resolved to your satisfaction. OTOH, it does point out the power of the internet, doesn't it?

Hope to see your articles, that you had ideas for, published somewhere soon.

In a quasi parallel vein, I came by your table twice at the DSC show hoping to make your acquaintance in person. Sadly, my timing was 'off' both times. Never been a doubt in my mind to your integrity nor skills, having another old buzzard here vouching for that in the best of all possible senses.

Glad to hear youse guys achieved an amiable resolution on differences. Speaks well for all involved.

I did get a few minutes to say hello to some others who were there, like Doug Mann, who was looking as well as ever and is another true gentleman's gentleman who practices his art at the highest level and whom I greatly admire.

Perhaps, God willing, I'll have the opportunity yet to meet you in person, but know that if I sent you something to do, that I would be happy w/the result.

Much appreciate that you gents are willing to share in the fun/[frustration?] & execution of your craft(s).

Pray that it continues.. to the benefit of all.

tw, very sorry I missed you at DSC, it seems like I hardly left my display, but that is how is works sometimes. I was very much looking forward to meeting folks at this rare opportunity.
