Hello, I'm new here to the forum, but not a new shooter. I have plenty of double shotguns, and a drilling, but tho is my first real double rifle. ( I do have one of those inexpensive biakal 45-70 doubles, and its fun, but I dont lil its mechanical dial regulation ).

My gun is a sabatti classic 92ME. I know its on the lower end, but I wanted a hammerless and it was I my budget.

I reload, and have bolt guns in 458 Lott, 416 Rigby, ( ruger magnum, CZ 550 ) 375 H&H in a Ruger #1 Trop.

I suspect this 9.3x74r may shoot something like my ruger #1 tropical in .375HH., but really have never studied this 9.3 cartridge, so would appreciate some discussion on it.

I browse from a phone and haven't figured out how to attach pictures yet.

Thanks

Nice gun, will you have a scope on the sabatti?

Traditional 9.3x74R ballistics call for a 286 grain bullet at a muzzle velocity of 2360 fps with 3538 ft. lbs. of muzzle energy.

The rifle is regulated and sighted in at 50 yards with Hornady ammunition.

Thanks for the reply and info. I do have the 286gr hornady ammo, as well as some 286?projectiles for reloading with some ppu brass I have collected, expecting I would need it, as commercial ammo for tho gun seems scarce in my neck of the woods.

I see it is tapped for a pic rail, and it came with one, however, I may go iron sights on it for those ranges. I'm betting this will drop a large piney woods rooter clean in his tracks. Most shots here are sub 100 yes, last hog I took was maybee 65 yards, maybee a hair less.

But I'm open to all ideas! Thanks for the reply and information, I appreciate it. Any one else liking to comment, I'd live to learn from your experience with this round or rifle.
