Hello all, I just recently acquired this Charles Lancaster Colindian and I am looking to find out how much it is worth. The gun has a couple flaws which I will try to picture and describe in as great detail as possible here. The stock is very obviously not original, it appears as though the original was broken as the metal tang extending down the stock past the trigger guard has been welded together where it appears it would have broken before. The left barrel has a dent in the side of it towards the end, also the band between the barrels appears as if it may have been resoldered at some point. Other than this the rifle seems to function perfect mechanically. I believe it to be a 14 gauge. Any information which you could contribute would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

It's a pretty tough call as far as value. The condition is obviously very low. The back-action peninsular locks are very basic. Colindians were made with other actions such as Jones underlevers and sidelocks. My knowledge on them is extremely limited. Restoration costs would be extensive, including restocking. In it's current state it's more of a wall hanger novelty. Probably not the gold mine you were hoping for. Even restored interest would be very limited, even then it usually wouldn't be considered a Shooter.

I prefer wood to plastic, leather to nylon, waxed cotton to Gore-Tex, and split bamboo to graphite.

Thanks for the input! I realized the condition it is in and I'm certainly not expecting it to be a goldmine. Any guesses as to value? Even as a wall hanger
