In 1986 Winchester made a limited run of Model 70 Fthrwts chambered for the 6.5x55. I'm trying to find out if these were on the long action, and were they controlled feed or push?
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I can't help with the action length, but in 1986 it would have been a push feed.

Best regards,

Yes, they were on the long action. The 6.5x55MM will not work on a short action because the bullet is very long and seated in the neck. As David said, push feed. I had one of these. It was very accurate and a very nice rifle. Sold it in a moment of weakness!
