Hi Everyone,
Firstly apologies as this isn't a 'double' but none the less it may be of interest. As many of you know I run the web site for the Perrins Owners Club.
I have recently acquired this single barrelled 10 bore built on a snider action. It looks purpose built and certainly isn't a military conversion. It looks and feels fairly good quality. The proof marks put it between 1868 and 1875. As it is the only Perrins we know of which is built on this action I was wondering if anyone else has a nice quality English gun which is similar as I don't think I have come across one before?

Nicely made and finished gun, by the looks of it. Looks like the MkI "suicide" breech? Would probably put it toward the earlier end of your date window if so.
Have seen a few rook rifles built on the snider action, but not many shotguns, fewer still - if any - that were not conversions of military or volunteer rifles (which tended to be about 20g-16g)
