What did you order? I have a friend who will buy you out for what you paid if the config is right.

Wait. Mine was PIF early Nov. 2005. Straight grip, double triggers, upgrade everything, case finished reciever, satin finished barrels. Arrived in May of 07. No function problems, no checkering errors or flaws that I can find. I've shot trap, skeet and sporting clays with it and am looking forward to Montana in Sept. Galazan basically set up and equipped a new facility to build these guns. I was prepared to cut him some slack when I wrote my check although I was impatient from time to time. Thank God I had other guns to shoot while I waited.

Good news...(finally....) Last night I picked up my PIF 09/22/05, AOS, Exhibition Claro, ST, SG, 14 3/4" pull RBL last night and did a quick once-over and I'm pleased to report that (so far) everything looks good...No checkering anomalies, engraving is what I expected, and the exhibition Claro has nice figure... So far chalk me up as a satisfied customer.....(I'll post some Pics when I get the camera fired up....)-Doug

I still think the Kimber may be the way to go for this money. RCC Where are you seeing Kimbers for RBL money? If you paid in full, standard gun, RBL was $2500. Valier II is almost exactly twice that.

I saw Kimbers at the Southern SxS for around 3 grand with the bells and whistles. I believe the guy at the booth was Richard Grozik who wrote the book "Game Gun." Nice looking little guns. RCC

I canceled my order and bought a used Merkel 147E for 200 bucks less. If the RBL is the gun of your dreams, then stick it out. If not buy something else. Cabela's has a nice Superposed Pigeon grade , 2 barrel set for 5200.00 a much better gun. IMHO.

It's not the same thing. But if you are like me, you all ready have plenty of light 20g. I just thought it was a nice gun at a good price (case included). I would like to see one of the Brotherhood get it.

While I really am a big fan of the Supers, I find nearly no reason to own a 8lb 12g anything, not being a fowlwaterer. My 12g sporting clays 32" 682 is 7 3/4 lbs and that's more than I'm usually willing to tote around the course, so I usually chose my 7lb even 32" 20g B525 or my new again 6 1/2 lb 28" BSS 20g.
I've not caught up to IM in the 20g dept, so I'm always looking at them as candidates for my stable. I find 20g to be my go-to gauge for most everything since I don't load it and cheap ammo is available for my informal clays and light hunting needs along with good hunting loads in the heavier upland shot sizes, recoil is low and guns are light. The 20g seems to fit into my current shooting very well.
