I know how to remove oil with whiting, but removing the whiting is usually harder than removing the oil!
So how do you remove the whiting?

I use a lot of it.
I simply brushing the bulk of the dried powder from the wood with a stiff paint brush and tooth brush (wear a dust mask as the stuff can quickly cause breathing problems is inhaled in any quantity'
I then place the stock under warm running water and continue the brushing process with a toothbrush to clear the stuff from the pores and crevices of the wood.
Some areas down in the inletting will need a poke and a prod to loosen the stuff sometimes. Gentle use of a toothpick or small screwdriver blade will knock it loose but be careful of the latter as the now wet wood can dent and bruise easily..

When it's all cleared, let it air dry,,won't really take that long but I usually let it hang at least over nite before any staining or further fix-ups.
You may still see a tiny bit of the whiting down in a few pores or in the inletting corners after all this, but that will disappear & blend perfectly with the finishing process of staining and/or just wood finish.
