I just wanted to pass this along. A friend sent me the link and it looks to be an interesting project for somebody with a love of the Fox and has deep pockets or incredible skills. A. H. Fox for sale I have no connection with the gun and have no interest in purchasing it myself by the way.

I've been in his shop. If you like Fox's, it's a bit mind blowing. All his parts are in the original wood crates stamped FOX that were used in the factory.

Jason has a number of these kits on hand. He has a total of 85 frames.

I did not realize that there were so many kits still around. Still, one marked LASTFOX has to be of interest to the Fox collector.

The frames were not numbered when he acquired them. That is Jason's serial numbering system for the lot of frames that were in the fox parts. Each one is stamped "LastFox and the number out of 85 that it is. This one is 7 of 85.

Does it come with instructions?
I prefer wood to plastic, leather to nylon, waxed cotton to Gore-Tex, and split bamboo to graphite.

CSMC needs to buy these up and build a run of special 12 ga. guns appropriately engraved and stocked in nice wood for $6500 each. JR

You can not put the metal together for that kind of money. I HAVE number one on the bench currently. Tons of hand work involved and no way to speed the process up. Fun project for a serious Fox guy but also lots of work and costs involved

My thoughts exactly. Done up correctly, with the rib matted correctly, and better wood, I would guess a finished price closer to 20K. Great project for a semi-retired double gunsmith who wants a Fox, not so much for someone who has to pay someone to finish it. I would also expect 1.5-2 years for a project like that to come to fruition. You can buy lots of guns that are done and work for the $2500 price of admission on these guns. I question the wisdom of thowing the money it would take to complete one of these at a 12 gauge as well. Ask all the big name double gun dealers how the 12s that have been sitting in their racks for the last decade have been selling. Best, Ted

He lists it as C&R eligible, not too sure about that.
