I was wondering if folks here would consider it reasonable to shoot the Kent 1 1/16 oz 12ga bismuth loads through an A grade Fox with 32" bbls, an early gun in sound condition. A poster on another forum reports that Kent replied to his inquiries that the pressure of this load is 9800psi. I appreciate your thoughts...

If it were my gun I'd do it. Fox has a strong action and had good barrels. It is your gun so it's your decision. I think the only weak link might be the wood...Geo

If the gun is sound, worry not about those loads in it. I have an early 32" A grade Fox, with 3" chambers, that has digested lots of TM 3" duck loads with nary a hiccup.

The boys at Ivory Beads were of the opinion that a Sterlingworth with open chokes was just about the best classic double for ducks with steel, so I'd be very comfortable shooting bismuth in a solid A-grade.

Thought I had a case of 28 gauge Rio Bismuth from Able Ammo but after they took my CC they crapped out.
What about reloading with Bismuth? Specifically, can you substitute Bismuth for lead?

Someone reviewed Kent Bismuth and stated that #5 shot was actually like #6 "American". Will the 6 shot Kent be like #7 "American"?
