What they can not do through legislation they are attempting to do through regulation. It will not be long before big shortages and cost increases hit the shelf. All just common sense you see in the name of safety.

Ayn Rand said: “The hallmark of authoritarian systems is the creation of innumerable, indecipherable laws. Such systems make everyone an un-indicted felon and allow for the exercise of arbitrary government power via selective prosecution.”

It seems like not all regulations are equal or come from the same place. I'd bet many businesses experience similar to varying degrees, maybe best reflected in the job market.

Very few markets have such large runs by customer that cause shortages. Seems like there's a profiling and targeting agenda going on. Maybe it's best to not fall for the tales of the do nothing congress.

It's also an interesting strategy. There seems to be a coordinated effort by the executive branch to use the various agencies under its control to 'hit 'em from all sides'. I wonder what's next.

This is just another reason why shooters and gun owners need to remain engaged and informed about the constant assaults on our Constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

This is another good reason to join the NRA and to call, write, and e-mail your Congressmen and Senators to let them know that you want something done to reverse this action if they want your continued support at election time.

This is another good reason why anyone with any brains at all shouldn't get upset when legislative or political news that affects our gun rights is featured in this forum.

But some will still whine and cry about it. It's called "shooting yourself in the foot."

Well, we can't pass a law so we'll redefine the regulation. There will be more but from what direction we'll never know or worse, never see coming.

I don't see how this would affect an individual who is not manufacturing smokeless propellant, and I can tell you from personal experience that guncotton is definitely a high explosive. At one time it was used as the bursting charge in some US shells, and I had to destroy one once. It was much more energetic than one loaded with TNT. Radford Army Ammunition Plant in Va manufactured Nitrocellulose for use in smokeless powder and had a good many instances where the Nitrocellulose line blew up.

I don't know but they're up to something. Knowing that they can't change the law being that the House and Senate are in Republican control they'll redefine the regulation and have it upheld by a liberal Supreme Court.

So get out and vote, especially for President.
