Folks, here's a link to an ACGG page that details the Guild's position on the ITAR debacle and encouragement for others to get involved. As you all know it is imperative to stop this in its tracks. Thanks for participating. http://www.acgg.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=109&catid=2Craig Libhart

Are you suggesting the topic doesn't belong on this forum? I don't see how it is "political", but you can characterize it as that if it suits your purpose. It's about the gunsmithing business and license requirements, and potentially could impact the cost and availability of people to work on doubles.

Yea, and you still have people that won't go out and vote because, "That Trump is so mean." Give me a break.

isn't this a political post...... Of course it's "Political" as where is this regulation coming from! Dave has routinely permitted "Political" posts if they involve our gun rights as this issue clearly does. The ONLY ones who usually object is the small number of left wing trolls we have infesting this forum. I have them all on my ignore list since Dave for some reason won't just outright ban them! Jim

The 2nd Amendment IS an unalienable right.

No question in my mind that the implementation of the regulation is political, but I don't see the discussion as political, unless one chooses to make it such.

isn't this a political post...... Yes, it is... obviously. The question is, why would anyone who is actually pro-gun object to a political thread when anti-gun politics threaten all guns and gun owners??? No question in my mind that the implementation of the regulation is political, but I don't see the discussion as political, unless one chooses to make it such. There is no way to refrain from making a discussion such as this political... unless one wishes to simply ignore which end of the political spectrum these frequent attacks on our 2nd Amendment rights originate. Strangely, what we never see is Democrat gun owners demanding that their Liberal Left Democrat candidates abandon their anti-gun rhetoric and positions. One cannot support and defend anti-gunners and still claim to be pro-gun. It is absurd to even think that.
Voting for anti-gun Democrats is dumber than giving treats to a dog that shits on a Persian Rug

I am disappointed that the ACGG did not mention that the regs are in regsrds to Military Firearms (defined as "defense articles" and "significant military equipment". NOT civilian firearms.
Leaving this information out only adds to the problem of spreading misinformation.

On the money! I don't mind people having a different opinion than me. What I can't stand is the hypocrisy. Or the Fuddness.
