The rifle I recently got with the modified M70 buttplate is serial number 1215547. The bolt is electro-pencil marked with this number. I'm curious to know if this action came from a National Match rifle.

Rifle # 1215547 is not listed in S. R. S. research service Vol. 4
Please post pictures of bolt and barrel just forward of rear sight fixed base. This will help

Not in SRS Volumes 1, 2, and 3 either, but there are rifles in the "range".

61 and 81 were USCC "Loaned". I don't know the meaning for USCC. Others were 85 and 90, "Ft. Niagra to SA". Nothing else close. There is much more information available, new numbers etc., according to Wayne Gagner.

All I can think of is US Corps of Cadets (or West Point) for USCC
