The hammer sprg. I need needs to be 31/2" long as that's the lgth of the one in the Left side lock that works. The lower leaf should be 2 3/8", width 5/16"The gun is an old Bridge Gun co./Crescent sxs. Numrich's part/schematic is wrong. It's actually a sear spring from some other gun. Zip on E-Bay. Sent e-mail to Bob's. No answ. yet. Dixie Gun Works also ng.
Any info appreciated. Thanks.
PS: I just edited the post to indicate correct width of 5/16"

Post a picture with either the broken spring or the other intact one on a white piece of paper. Include all dimensions on the sheet. I'll look through my parts. Are you sure its a Crescent rather than a Belgian gun? No promises, but you never know.

oldshot,
If ken can't help you, and you live close enough to east Alabama to come here, we can look through my "junk pile".

First let me apologize for not being able to read a ruler. The measurement for the upper leaf should be 3 1/8" and the lower
2 5/8" The gun is totally proofed in Belgium for BP, but the left side lock is stamped:"Bridge Gun Co" a tm for Crescent.
Here are the pix. Many thanks for you help. [img][/img] [img][/img]

Thanks to all who tried to help locate the needed part. I was able to "fix" the broken V spring by filing a partial new hook on to the stub and fitting a modified Dixie Gun Works Spanish pistol stirrup into the tumbler. Not the best or a lasting repair, but for a Belgian wall-hanger it's OK,& the right hammer now works.
