I have an opportunity to buy a drilling, but have no idea what it's worth. Owner is deceased and his wife is looking to me for an offer. 16 gauge over 11mm?

91 .....on butt plate

Only markings anywhere on gun are: G.M. on bottom of rifle barrel
91. on butt plate
H.C.G. Stein on right side
Hamburg on left side

Some of these Drillings can have the under barrel re-tubed and chambered to a more modern calibre without detracting from the value but rather may enhance it as it would become more marketable. Also they can be worth more if they still have the original scope. Not all had a scope but those that did will have the mountings on the top. The scopes slotted into place via a claw mount and were quick detachable. Lagopus.....

See my comments under "German and Austrian Guns" below. I would not rebarrel it, if the current barrel is at all shootable, or can be made so.
