I just sent Brent the pics. The history is always the part that I look forward to hearing. Before my dad passed, we used to go out and shoot a lot, that being one of them. Never thought to ask him the history sadly.

Very nice rifle! Were it mine, it would be well used as as squirrel rifle.

It has a substantial amount of drop to that stock. Seems more than most, but perhaps to accommodate the irons.

I got the scope back on it last year. The cross hairs were missing so I sent the scope to Parsons for repair. Went to the range and zeroed it in at 50yds. Groups the size of a dime.

Yes, the BSA/Martinis are well known for accuracy. When I had one, I had very good luck with the larger diameter Lapua target ammunition. Midas M I think was the exact flavor of Lapua.

Craig, all the BSA martinis I've seen were relined by Parker Hale. This was visible on the muzzle where they stamped their name across the liner/barrel junction. All of them shoot spectacularly also. Is yours relined? Mine was a 29.5" barrel, as I recall. It could be yours has been shortened, and thus, lost the markings, but maybe not. Anyway, most of them were relined and yours may have been also. When it comes to Martinis, this is a good thing, in my opinion.

I looked at the muzzle and it is flat and no blueing on the end, also no markings either. Does that help?

Then it is probably not relined. Sometimes, the liner can be hard to see, but the Parker Hales that I have seen were pretty easy to tell, even if the stamps had not been there. So, probably not relined.
