Does anyone know of a source for a 1/4 rib that could replace the factory 1/4 on a Ruger #1? It would be used on the light weight 22' inch barrel model (1-A I think). I am looking for something more traditional with full rib/barrel contact but I am trying to avoid having to make one from scratch.
Years ago, Brownell's used to sell blank 1/4 ribs designed to come close to standard contour barrels by various makers. They did need fitting and overall reduction of mass but they did speed up the process of fitting a 1/4 rib to a barrel.
Any ideas? I cannot be the first guy wanting to do this. Thanks in advance.
