I need a good solid blank for my Flues. Something along the lines of the wood on a GR2. Don't want field grade, but don't need a GR4 blank either. Who would you suggest for a lower grade quality blank?

You may want to google Watts Walnut. He had some very fine American Black two piece sets and was very nice to deal with. Good luck...

Last set I bought was from Evans Compton at Silver Hill Gunstocks.

336 766 0271.

Very reasonable and agreeable to work with. i was looking for a set of wood for a Iver Johnson Special Trap, and he had the pattern. Said he had a Special Trap in his safe. I sent him $200, told him to pick the best wood he could for that amount, and I could not believe the figured wood I got (semi-inletted).
