Does such a thing exist? I've looked at lots of them and as of yet haven't come across any, so I was wondering if they were ever made and if so by who?

Oh yes, definitely. Self cockers and safeties, too. Here's a matched pair of 20s with all those features:

have never seen one either...could be cause auto ejectors are fairly new inventions and came into vogue at about the same time that hammer guns went out of fashion...around 1890, or so...

Here's my Self-Cocking Ejector Hammergun

A SIACE Model 350G (Made in Italy) in 12ga. Note that his gun has a tang safety. Good quality piece that does a fine job when I do my job.

Best!

Greg

A small number of high grade hammer ejectors were made by the main English makers, usually for wealthy clients who liked the hammers.
Most wealthy owners who stayed with hammers didn't have ejectors included because they had someone to load the gun. Also, the vast majority of hammer guns made after ejectors became available were low grade cheap guns (hence made without ejectors).
Occasionally one also comes across quality guns (including hammer guns) that have been later converted to ejector.
Both fetch healthy prices because they are rare.

There have been a few recent ones made, one that springs to mind being the Famars (Abiattico & Salvinelli) Castore. This was a self cocking hammer ejector of high grade. I personally thought that the treatment of the fences looked wrong. They are seldom seen in the UK, and I don't think they are made now.

Hi all, King George V also used 12b Purdey Ejector Hammerguns. He as most know was known to refer to hammerless guns "a Spaniel without ears" Interesting man, the King.

Best!

Greg
