I have a 100 12 ga. with 28" barrels marked and measure IC Mod. Must have been for European market as it has sling swivels.

There you go, never say never! That said I've not seen a 12 GA.26" gun choked MOD/FULL either. Could be one out there though. I'd like to have sling swivels on my 100, could have used them yesterday, lots of walking, no shooting!

Yes, I once had a 200 12ga from Sweden. It had 28in IC/MOD barrels a splinter forend and killer wood. I wish they sold them like that on this side of the pond.

There were some SKB 12ga sxs made for the American market with factory IC/M chokes and 28" barrels, but they're pretty rare. The first sxs I ever bought (Rota, Spain--US Navy Rod & Gun Club, 1972) is a Model 150 set up that way. However, I have never seen a 20ga with 28" barrels choked anything but M/F. And agree with Chief that I've never seen a 26" 12 (or a 25" 20--why did they make the short 20's an inch shorter?) choked M/F.

My 12 ga (26" bbls IC/Mod) is typical of the Model 100s in my part of the world in that it is marked Dunnville, Ontario.

Something somewhat atypical is that the barrels are blued rather than "black chromed" and there is one bite instead of two. According to Ron Sharp these two characteristics indicate an early gun.

Hence there are different bolts for these guns.

I have seen the single bite before, but not on very many guns.

Another odd set up are 25" barrels choked IC/IC. I've seen one in 20 Ga. This one was a 280E. If I recall a quail special or quail gun maybe?

Had one of those. 2 triggers, 12 gauge, 6 lb 6 oz, English stock and the kicker of kickers. Factory choked IC and Full.

Wish I still had it. Wonderful gun to carry.

What a wonderful configuration! And besides, everyone knows that felt recoil is reduced 98% by a flying grouse.

I have a friend that has a 200E 12ga with 30" barrels. It's like this one

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=533966197

These two are the only ones in 30" that I have seen. My friends gun does not have the adj comb. I've heard that some 385's may have been made in 30" 28ga. I would try to be first in line for one of those.

I have a 280E and 200E both in 25" 20ga. Had them shipped in to my local cabela's store a few years back. Could not decide which one I liked best so put together a deal to get them both. They are great guns.
