Good afternoon All,

I ran across an article today in Michael Petrov's file cabinets on the smooth bore Maynard barrel he had. A. O. Niedner had made this barrel to be used to shoot dragonflies while he was fishing. That must have been great!

The barrel was sold separately from Michael's Creedmoor Maynard (although it shouldn't have) and I wondered what ever happened to it. The rifle was sold in last November's Amoskeag and the dragonfly barrel was sold in the silent auction. I am hoping someone didn't reline the barrel to a rifled caliber. I hope one of you owns it.

Joe,
The dragonfly killer is safe and will be kept unchanged. I expect it to join a Maynard set with 40-60 Maynardand 38-55 Win. barrels.
Was there any load information in the article that you discovered ?
