I tried finding the post about taking down a Darne V, and it doesn't seem to be here any longer.
Mike, the Gourmet guys don't touch on taking down a V Darne. Most people don't realize there are several Darne actions and they are different.
Bob G, first and foremost is, use no tools, other than your hands. Second, is positively identify exactly what you have. A P Darne has a breech that does not come off easily. I need a picture to positively identify your gun at this point.
If you can take a picture of the gun, with the breech open, and showing the safety lever clearly, I can identify the gun and walk you through it, either here, or in a PM, or via email. A second, clear picture of the flats of the barrels, with all the proof stampings would help even more. Email it to me, and I'll put it up on the board, if you would like, or don't know how.
Best,
Ted
