Just got my "restored" LC Smith back from the Smith. I'm very pleased with the end result. Since the gun had been restocked before I had bought it, there was not much collector value anymore. With that said, the gun is a very rare Trap Grade 20 GA (only 348 20 GA trap grades ever made, and only about 120 in the configuration of my gun). The Smith said the barrels were some of the best he's seen on an old gun. We did our best to bring the gun back to factory condition, and I think we succeeded. Can't wait to whack some late season SD roosters with it this December. While I love double guns, I don't have the money to own all the guns and like. However, I'm pretty proud of this old LC Smith. Im even proud of the chicken scratch engraved convicts on the side.
