just picked up a nice original Parker D grade, 30" Damascus, 1 1/2 frame, skeleton. The seller made a bid deal out of "three dog " engraving. Any input on that ?
I love the look Hobbs, my Vizsla, gives me following my second miss in a row.

three as in setter on one side - pointer on the other and another - likely a setter on the floorplate? not uncommon for the early D Grade discussed several times on the Parker board here is one thread http://parkerguns.org/forums/showthread.php?t=14238

Many thanks.....i have a reasonable depth of knowledge for Fox's and elsie's, all others are a learning process at the middle school level! When i have the gun in hand i will post pics.

Find it hard to believe a 1 1/2 frame would be of 1889 vintage.

Hmmmmm.....will be interesting to see when gun is in hand.....that is what the seller purported, and although he provided prodigious photos, there was not one of the underside of the barrel lug. I will still be happy with the purchase regardless if the gun is within 25% of the condition it appears to retain.
As earlier, will post photos when i get the gun. The gun is in the 58xxx range so i assume the 1889 mfg. date should be right.
