Advice?.

Getting ready to begin my restoration on the heavy duty, gr. 3 flues 12 i scored recently. Need to gain sone LOP, in order to fit me, but want the gun correct. What would be the correct pad for a 1919 straight stock flues graded gun? Of course will retain the original flues "shield" plate should i ever want to return the gun to original specs. Starburst?

This is a 30" straight stocked pigeon or waterfowl gun. Help appreciated!

I believe the starburst started after 1919. At the beginning of the NID? I had the same dilemma on a 23 Flues and went with a Silvers.

I miss stated the YOM, it is 1910, was confusing it with another gun.

A Silvers would be the right pad for a gun of that vintage.

The Ithaca 'bridge trestle" pad was introduced in the 1931-32 time frame --

The logo in the pads used from then up to WW-II has "PAT. APPL'D FOR" --

After the War the pad's logo says "PATENTED", as do the currently available repros.

The "bridge trestle" pad with the aluminum base was introduced in 1950 --

Muchos Gracias Researcher, as always. Will have Mark Larson fit a silvers to the gun.

As far as you know, are there any instances of this vintage gun with a leather covered pad from the factory? Also i have confirmed 3" chambers.....would that have been marked anywhere? Thank goodness numrich had one right side hammer left in stock for the gun! Looking forward to seeing it restored, this is one of the first guns i have collected that is apparently 100% original, and a higher grade gun.
