So can anyone offer me some insight into the reliability of the Spanish Astra Model 750 O/U? This model has the single/selective trigger, and is built rather heavy for waterfowl hunting I understand. Looking at this one for turkey and duck.

I don't know anything about Astra shotguns, but you might want to look at fowler from Laurona. They had chrome-line barrels special highly oxidation resistant surface finish and 1370bar proof (Boy Scout type steel shot proof mark) making them especially suitable for shooting steel shot. I know some years ago they invested a lot to bring out series produced SxS rifles in medium cals like 9.3x74mm, but I'm not sure if they're still in business or not.

You bring up the point about steel shot which is a good point. I don't have to have a bbl that can take steel, but it would be nice to have. If it's not, I would use something like bismuth shot for waterfowl. The main use of this shotgun will be for turkey so steel is not required.
