I am looking for suggestions for a person to do a nice refurb job [reblue barrels, disassemble and clean, minimal stock finish repairs, and a new pad] at a reasonable price. The gun is nothing really special, but it has good bones.

THANKS

If I am reading correctly what he wants done, I think he will have a hard time getting the barres reblued, complete disassembly and clean, stock refinish along with a new pad installed for $500.00? Unless maybe it is someone who does it on the side.

gunlvr,

I second the suggestion by bbman to call Darlington Gun Works. Jim Kelly is the owner. He will talk with you and has a staff working with him that is very capable. You can Google the number. He is open Mon. - Fri. regular hours and Saturdays until 12 noon, I think. I use him and many of my friends do also. We have never had a bad experience. He is very good on double guns, which is something you cannot say about a lot of so-called gunsmiths.

You may, or may not, have heard of the famous gun, Bo Whoop. Jim and his staff restocked it.

Jim Kelly, while serving with the USAF in France, was Gen. Curtis "Bombs Away" LeMay's personal gunsmith. Jim was given permission by the General to hone his craft in French gunmaker's and gunsmith's shops during his tour. Rank has its privileges.
He's a good man and gunsmith.
