Interesting. I know American Arms imported Zabala-made guns, as well as a Grulla #2 which was their top of the line gun. Don't recall Parkemy associated with AA, but that was a long time ago and there were more Spanish makers around than there are now. You're right. It was an error on my part. I mixed up two different guns I'd seen at shows. I knew ZH made the later Derby's imported by AA, but I incorrectly thought the earlier one's were made by APM. More of a memory lapse than anything, I'd researched the Derby's a couple of years ago.. Here's an Armas Parkemy I have, waiting it's turn to be restored. Regards Ken

I prefer wood to plastic, leather to nylon, waxed cotton to Gore-Tex, and split bamboo to graphite.

Tony-I have the exact same gun with a serial number of 3667x. Only mine is a 20 gauge. It has the same AP marking but I've yet to determine who the maker is for sure. You are correct. These are not your typical shotgun that everyone envisions when you say it's an "El Faisan". I admit some mild jealousy, The only thing that would make me like this gun more would be if it was a 20 instead. I suspect this gun was built for the european market, based on the sling swivels. But it's got a nice splinter for end and english stock. I think the gun has suffered more wear and damage being put into and taken out of safes over the years than it has in the field.

I shot the gun earlier this week, and it did great. it fits me well, so I was able to shoot it about as well as I do any SXS, which is to say, not great, but not terrible.
