A very similar gun is illustrated in an old reprint of the ALFA (Adolf Frank Export Gesellschaft) 1911 catalog. It is listed as a self-cocking double hammerless gun ...."German hand-make from Suhl factories, cheap but sound ..." Their description is "Roux lock, walnut stock, pistol grip, cheek, matted extension rib, fine steel barrels, indicators, case hardened mounting, automatic safety on neck of butt". They cost 158 marks back then, with a higher grade having fine flower engraving with hunting scenes, horn cap on grip, etc, etc for 170 Marks ( Back then I think there were about 4 Marks per US $)
