This being the double gun forum, we usually talk mostly about double barreled bird guns. Quail and pheasant guns, mostly light or medium game guns. Lord knows, the Spanish make enough of those.

But the Spanish gun makers also make guns for game and games seldom if ever shot or practiced in Spain; water fowling and trap.

Stoeger commissioned from Victor Sarasqueta and imported into the USA a number of heavy,10 gauge, water fowl guns. This is an example of a top end Stoeger/VS 10 gauge:

VS isnt the only Spanish gun maker to supply 10 gauge guns to US shooters/hunters:

And then there are the trap guns:

VS Vandalia:

Armas Bost (Jose Bolumburu)

I had one of the Vandalia guns. The stock was completely wrong for me and I could not hit the broad side of barn with it, even if I were locked in the barn. Here are pics:

I still have one of the Jose Bolumburu trap guns. This gun fit me so-so, and I can break an occasional bird with it:

Under the category of really really "other" Spanish guns, see below my next favorite Turkey buster, an AYA Cosmos 12ga single with 3" chamber:

:

Got to cut off the rock hard recoil pad, and cut stock down to fit a decelerator. Might even put one of Gil Stacy's Aim-point type sights on it...Geo
