I have a set of Gaugemate Golds that go in a 16 gauge gun to make it shoot 28 gauge shells. I really like them, and had ordered extra "O" rings when I got them. DAMN, They're fun!
I was wondering if they are still in business, and if so, if they offer 10 gauge adapters so I can shoot 12 gauge loads in a big 10.
If not, does anyone now offer something like these? Thanks, Shooters. Sam Ogle, Lincoln,NE

As far as I'm concerned they are not in business and I told them so. I sent them an email trying to get an item in August. They replied that they were still open. But they haven't restocked anything for six months. No regular sizes available unless you find one stuck inside a boxcar size package at ten times the price. It is a bad way to treat customers. If they are not going to run the lathe, they should sell the patent to someone who will. Maybe if more than one person complains they will get in gear.

There are other people who make and sell those stupid things.
Mr. Google will point the way.

Jones,
You should let Google point YOU to a little research and you will see that Chambermate is out of business, Briley is waaay overprice, and competitors must be completely removed. Yes, and that $800 tube set weighs 15 ounces. I'll say it again. Put up stock or sell the patent.

I got adapters from Gaugemate not long ago and they still have a website.

My friend tried to order 16/20 and got the 16/28. He still can't get the right ones. Little skeeters is still in business and sells the 10/12 inserts. Go here http://littleskeeters.com/

That's one option Paul.
It's a good answer to the original question.
That other guy can't get the brand he wants and that somehow makes me an [censored].

Chiming in to offer information on products you really don't understand and clump into "stupid things" is what makes you a self-recognized censored. There are not only very specific differences in design that makes these chamber reducers different, the uniformity and hardness of competitive products has been tested for quite some time. If you knew anything about Little Skeeters you would know that they are famous for warping and shells have to be pushed out with a stick. Having a website to sell old stock that is mainly depleted, was exactly the complaint I made. Find another product with finger removal and hardness to allow single gauge reduction... then post it here. We will all be amazed.

One other source is EBay. If you watch under chamber insert or chamber adapters a very few come up for sale from time to time. I have seen a few of the old silver style 10/12 sell in the last year. There is also seller who makes 12/20 adapters and a few others. I tried to get him to make a set of 16/20 adapters for me but he said they were too thin. I suspect he figures thin might fail and he would get sued somehow. Don't see a 10/12 version from him but it might be worth an email and ask him if he makes them. I bought half a dozen of his 12/20 adapter and turned them down to fit my 16 ga on a metal lathe. So I ended up with a set of 16/20 the hard way. Any good machinist, which I am certainly not, could do the job in just a few minutes. For low volume the Skeeters are OK. But the aluminum material seems more prone to rapid wear than the steel, which will cause the steel rim shells to stick faster. I had a set of Skeeters but soon decided they would not last long if used heavily. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=459330119 http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-10-Gauge-to-12...s-/291321823282
