Need Help With Rifle Identification #386786 12/10/14 11:52 AM

OP James M Sidelock Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 7,438 Likes: 1 Arizona	I was brought this Pennsylvania rifle for a cleaning and evalustion. However I can't make out the name plate on the barrel on it. I'd appreciate and help you can provide and also anyones estimate of value. It's a full stock unconverted flintlock that the current owner tells me was fired by his father about 20 years ago. I actually think the name is likely Rekerts and I'm hoping someone can verify this. Jim The 2nd Amendment IS an unalienable right.

I have other pictures but they don't show anything really exceptional. However I should add this is a curley maple full stock about 50 cal rifle. Jim The 2nd Amendment IS an unalienable right.

Something about the lock panels just does not fit with an old rifle of that era. Some very good modern makers have been working since the 30's. Some of my rifles made in the 50's and 60's and well used have developed a patina that is hard to tell from well cared for originals. Chuck
