Is the Dickinson SxS that is made in Turkey (Akus I think) the same gun as the discontinued S&W Elite Gold?

Cabela's seems to be promoting the Dickinson with modest success and I would like to know if,in fact, they are the same gun as the earlier S&W.

Perhaps someone here has had experience with one or both.

Yes, same gun out of the same factory with slightly different engraving pattern. All of the Cabela Dickinsons, to my knowledge, have 28" barrels, straight grips, splinter forends and double triggers.

They are made in other configurations and iterations. Here's their website:

Quite a few Cabela's Dickinsons have been single trigger guns -- not sure about their current offerings.

Cabelas still has them, and a few 28s and 410s have started trickling in. I think some of the production is being siphoned off the supply the new higher priced SKBs.
