I've been following this auction and wondered what
the members here think of this rifle

I believe the rifle was built by K.B. ADAMS, the barrel is by the great J.R. BUHMILLER. Flaigs marked their rifle barrels with a imprimatur rollmark on them in the script or cursive. Might be wrong, WON'T BE THE FIRST NOR THE LAST TIME.

No idea who made either one, but I did think it interesting that the same bidder (Andres de la Torre) ended up with both rifles.

The "Mouser" bo;t action is obviously a M17/P14 Enfield or Remington commercial equivalent, as the safety clearly reveals. I am curious as to why the Lyman Alaskan scope is mounted so far back, given its enormous eye relief. Not an advisable arrangement for a .375 H&H.
