The clay bird league I shoot in will shoot trap, skeet, sporting and Doc Adams. Doc Adams is clays from trap house, shooters from skeet stations. I will use full choke and was wondering which might work best, 8's or 7 1/2's

Also called Scrap. 8's are fine... about 23yard trap with some hard angles thrown in. Try 'Wobble Scrap' and report back when you've run the 25...

If you shoot it as a two shot game, use 8s in the first bbl and 7 1/2s in the second. If you shoot it as a one shot game, use 8s. Jerry

In our area, this one shot, 25 shell game is "Chinese". We have to break two targets at each station with a maximum of five shots. When you run out of shells you are out of the competition, but can still win with high score. Score must be kept since two shooters who run out of shells at the same time can theoretically have different scores and usually do. Also in theory, a shooter who has run out of shells can have a higher score than a shooter who still has shells.

Back at my old club in Southern Maryland we shot wobble trap from the skeet stations. You shot from each station until you hit one, and the last person with shells left was the winner. At my club here on Coeur d'Alene we shoot all kinds of games. Skwooble is wooble trap from the skeet stations with report pairs for the doubles, and instead of station 8 we do a report pair from the center 27-yard station. We have a game called Treet where we shoot Skeet targets from the 27-yard trap stations, an outgoer, a report pair, and a true pair from each station. Then our best game is Wooble Skeet with the international wooble trap in both skeet houses, so your bird can go anywhere from the regular skeet path to straight out amd from a grass cutter to way high. We find #8 shot about the best compromise shot size for any of these games.

I've shot versions of several of the games mentioned in this thread. The names apparently differ according to the regional area shot. The name of the games I 've shot are always prefaced with !^@%$@^!! Scrap or &%@$^%@^!!! Wobble Scrap etc. ...if you know what I mean.....and I think you do!
