I have a Hunter & Son, Belfast, hammerless double, boxlock, 12 bore. Very nice work; select wood, quality checkering, not overly engraved but maybe 50-60%? Typically marked NP, Nitro Proof barrels. Not super fancy but near mint. Hopefully worth researching.
Cannot find anything on "Hunter and Son, 62 Royal Avenue, Belfast". (marked as such down the rib) Era of the double is probably 1890 - 1930? (I know that's a wide range)
Case hardened lock, blued barrels, straight-grip English stock. Any comment or guidance appreciated.

IGC has a little information on the firm,guesswork is they were in business from 1890? to 1930? Originally was Hunter and Maddil. Email your address to me and I will forward what they have. Jim A.
