From this side of the border, the poster of the ad below has been sniffing too much gunpowder. How's it look from your angle?
"A Rolls Royce in shotguns is a Miroku Type 4 Superior Grade 12ga O/U with 27″ barrels
27″ Duel Bead Vent Rib 12GA 2 3/4 The top barrel is (+ -) Modified Choke, and the bottom barrel is (+ +) Improved Cylinder choke Single Select Trigger Auto Ejectors Field forearm and Pistol Grip with Decelerator Pad in mint condition with light handling marks to the stock. Weight:6LBS 7 OZ
The Type 4 uses coil springs in place of lever springs for the mainsprings, ejector hammers & the top lever springs. These coil springs have been proved to be far more reliable than lever spring style guns.
These guns sell used for upwards of $2000.00 in the USA
$1600.00 OBO or Trade"

I really like Mirokus and generally prefer them to their Browning "equivalents." That sounds like a $1000 gun around here. I bought a pretty nice one a few years ago with 30" barrels for $650 in a local shop, probably 97% condition. The guns are great but don't have the Browning name recognition, even though they often have nicer wood and engraving than the Brownings.

I like them too and recently bought a lightly handled Type 3 Superior Grade in 20 ga. for $700 privately. Add $100-$200 more for one off a used rack. I thought a 12 ga. might be nice, but not for double the going price. This fellow's making much too much ado about Type 4 coil springs.

Bought my Type 3 Superior(12 gauge) last year for under 700.. VERY happy with it.. I think i got a great deal on it.. This gun performs as well as any $3000 O/U all day long..

Re the springs, I recall speaking with a gunsmith who worked on quite a few Miroku OU's. He verified that broken springs (before they switched to coil springs) seemed to be the gun's main weak point.
I'd think $2,000 would be high even for a Diamond Grade.
