I just received my letter from the Winchester museum stating that my M21 18247 was shipped July 31,1947, that is surprising as the frame number came in as 1941 and the barrel marks according to the M21 book are prewar.
My question however is: It shows Made for:
Meis and Frank Company. Anyone know of them???

You probably mean Meier & Frank -a large department store in either Seattle or Portland.

Thats probably it. The letter spelled it Meis and Frank and was probably misread

Almost my sister gun. Mine was shipped on 9/12/47. Mine is 19458 I think. I'd have to go to the safe and check tomorrow. Mine was shipped to the department store in Chicago. I can't remember that either. I'll have to look that up too.

Mine is 19754 and was shipped to Von Lengerke and Antonie on 9/12/47. Sorry for the delay.
