I am betting that I am not the only one who struggles with posting pictures. If I am I will just have to feel bad about it later. For now, would someone be willing to provide a step by step explanation of the process. I am putting together the equipment that MP recommended (he always credited SDH for schooling him) and used for photos and want to get some pictures out for discussion. I am committing to creating a little momentum here. I know Michael would like that.

Put your pics on PhotoBucket. Once there go to your home. Click on view library. Pass your mouse pointer over a pic and a little gear will show in upper right corner. Place mouse over it and a drop down will occur. Click on get links. Go to the bar called IMG codes. Click on the link and it will say copied in yellow. Then go to the gunbroker thread and paste the link. Its quite easy.

Here is a tutorial on posting pictures.
http://www.doublegunshop.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=148935#Post148935

It is several years old, it is actually easier now due to some changes at Photobucket. As mentioned above, you will need to get the pictures posted on the net someplace. Photobucket is the most common, and is free. After that, you can either copy the IMG code from photobucket, or use the picture posting tool at the top of the reply window.

I am with you on trying to keep the momentum going here. No way we can fill Michael s shoes, but if we all step up the quality of our posting we can keep this the most educational and friendliest shooting forum on the net.

Get yourself some photo editing software such as photoshop, it is amazing how a little editing can improve the looks of a photo. Of course taking a better picture to start with helps, but not all of use are as good as Michael or SDH.

Good luck, and feel free to ask if you need anything. We'll all be looking forward to seeing your pictures.

John

The LRF info is great right up to "Then go to the gun broker thread…" substitute doublegunshop...
and while I applaud all enthusiasm for this site and Michael's legacy of help and shared knowledge, SDH remains a For Profit entity that seldom sees one.

MP was always the first to recognize the difference in our status and how much easier it was to be a success with his approach.

I'll be around as much as possible with photos and info as long as I don't become a target for the peanut gallery, again.

Also, this site is very slow and my internet connection is via Quest, by any other name mollassseslike in this endless winter and I can't even load Photobucket tonight...
