Is this really a Baker or a Belgium knockoff?

It is a real Baker if it's like the few Thornward models I have seen.

Is this really a Baker or a Belgium knockoff? There was a fellow in Ontario trying to sell one. The one he has is a Baker. It's in terrible condition though. Hopefully you aren't considering this one.

Yes that is the gun. I am not interested in purchasing it just understanding if Baker made a Thornward model as the fellow claims.

Yes,Baker made it. The seller sent me pics of that gun a year ago. I quickly decided it was not near in the condition he made it out to be. About 3 months ago a fellow I know in another province traded him for the gun (against my advice). Well let's just say there were a few interesting emails between him and the seller of the gun. The gun was finally returned. The bores are not good, it looks like it was put back on face and the stock was in rough condition have a large crack as well as another that had been already repaired. This is just from what I remember. It's about a $150.00 gun.

The gun is a candidate for restoration
It is a baker Batavia leader with twist barrels
It has been Re faced, wood had some issues
Though patterns were very visable on barrels,
Bores need attention, could possibly be polished
By a qualified double gunsmith, I've also owned
A Montgomery ward which was a baker grade c
Boxlock, , these ward guns are hardware store
