Yesterday at a sporting clay event a shooter came through my station with a SxS that clearly had Heckler and Koch wording on the side plates. I also believe I saw made in Belgian on it. It appeared to be a recent gun as it had screw in chokes. Does anyone know or can provide me with more info on this gun. My curiosity has got me.

A few years ago H&K stuck their name on some SxSs made by Fabarm of Italy, but I believe they no longer import them. Probably pretty good value for the money.

I had one and was not impressed with it. Metal to metal and wood to metal fit was poor. Broke the first time out.

Jack,
Thad Scott has one listed on his web site for a grand. You could get a good deal from him because he is downsizing his stock.Might be worth a look.
Regards,
Max

I think the Fabarm H&K SXS is excellent value: Tribore barrel, nitrided choke tubes, four underlug receiver, Nice looking wood and if you are original purchaser H&K will honor the Lifetime warranty that comes with the gun. As mentioned Thad Scott has a number of these currently and had sold out of them earlier this year. I would suggest the new one for a hundred more because of the warranty. Bob

I've owned one for two years- excellent fit of wood to metal, shoots great, no problems. Only wish I would have known they made longer barrels than my 26" one. I think it's one of the better deals for the money. Now my Marlin/ LCS is a different matter- it doesn't compare. Paul

I have handeled them at a gun show and wish I bought one for duck and other rough shooting. I would get the long barrels, double triggers, and straight grip. Will hopefully get aorund to doing it one of these days.
They were pretty clunky, but that can be fixed with a little work. For the money I think that are the best bet for some one looking for a stout SxS for duck or other rough shooting. Definitely not in the "fine gun" catagory, but seems very capable in its niche.

It's a hellishly strong brute. 'Tribore'=another idea that does not work. PS. If I wanted Italian upland gun I would rather have the nimble Franchi 48AL with modified tube in the spout.
